STARZPLAY - Paid Media Optimization

Challenge

Before taking over the STARZPLAY account, the client used to promote their content across social media channels with little to no engagement, reach or increase in followers. No optimization or segmentation was done to track the performance of their ads. This created a problem of investing in thousands of dollars with no return of investment.

Approach

When Proof took over content creation and paid media for STARZPLAY, we changed the messaging, created over 80+ Audience segmentations, A/B tested and continuously optimized towards awareness and engagement. This gave the content created a lot of exposure with our target audience. In addition to the above, all ads were tracked with UTM codes to lock in the user journey and track acquisition.

Results

  • An increase of over 10,000 followers in 3 months for STARZPLAY’s Instagram account.
  • An increase of 666% in impressions. This is a result of incorporating an always on strategy across all content pieces. Current impressions sit at 24M.
  • 110% rise in engagement through high volume assets and shows.
  • Successful paid media collaborations with global brands like Disney and Warner Brothers.
